Michelle Kett grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan before relocating to the South (FL and NC) in a desperate attempt to forget that winter is a season. Alas, the Midwest has a strong grip, and she now lives outside of St. Paul, Minnesota with her husband, two young children, and multiple pets. Michelle has a Master of Science in anesthesia and is a nurse anesthetist by trade. Recently, she decided to stop ignoring her dream of becoming a published writer and enrolled in Lindenwood University’s MFA creative writing program. She likes to write poetry about her nursing experiences, but her true love is science fiction with a healthy dose of dystopias. When Michelle isn’t writing or knocking people out, she spends her days crocheting scarves for her hairless cat, Prince Caspian, and trying to find a way to Neverland so she can keep her kids small for just a little while longer.
